Under the Sells-Scope: FLOORPLAN REVOLUTION

You love listing new construction homes. Really you do… but for some reason, the “thrill is gone”. You may be tired of the same ole’ same of handing prospective buyers a simple folder of floor plan drawings or showing them an encased miniature model of the undeveloped home. If that describes you, you likely are in need of a revolution - a Floorplan Revolution to be exact.

TRICK 3D, a well-respected virtual reality and animation studio which brought us the new holiday classic An Elf’s Story, unveiled one of their latest projects at SXSW 2016: Floorplan Revolution. In their words, Floorplan Revolution allows multi-family developers to turn 2D floor plans into fully navigable virtual homes, enabling buyers and renters to preview housing options before the development of a physical space and is the first cloud-based real estate visualization solution of its kind.

Does this new solution really live up to these lofty ambitions for real estate sales and leasing agents? Or, it is just a copycat of some of the other existing technology for real estate pros (like Matterport)?

As real estate brokers, there is no surprise that we want to recruit the most talented agents in generating sales and closing deals. For early adopters, I can see Floorplan Revolution lending to a brokerage firm's marketing edge in recruiting agents that have long-standing relationships with developers. Plus, I can see one's brokerage being better positioned to recruiting real estate developers and builders to exclusively list their properties with your team. Of course, you have to publicize this innovative, technological offering effectively for these players to know your capabilities but that is for sure a win.
