10 Hilarious Childhood Sayings That Can STILL Help You Succeed Today

Today, I'm eating "humble pie" after reflecting on the things that I, like many of you, heard as a child that ACTUALLY can help you succeed today and weren't just adults being pesky.  I will be calling my family after I post this to let them know they were right all along lol.

Here are the 10 things (or some variation of them) that you may have heard as a child:

1. "I don't know" is not an answer.
2. If everyone jumped off a bridge, would you?
3. Look both ways before crossing the street.
4. In case of an accident, wear clean underwear.
5. Chew your food slowly.
6. Don't burn bridges.
7. Don't get smart!
8. You're not made of sugar, you won't melt.
9. You don't have to like it but you have to do it.
10. Be home by the time the street lights come on.
